Donald appeared in the census of 1940 in the household of his father Charles Harold 'Penny' Eshom at Alta Township, Harvey County, Kansas. He was 2.4

Donald graduated from Burrton High School in 1956.

Don worked for KPL, later Westar for over 35 years before retiring. He later worked for Black and Veatch for 15 years out of their Kansas City Offices. Don was a helper, he enjoyed doing chores for family and friends. He just liked helping out, any way he could. He and Pamela moved to their home west of Topeka about 1995.2

In 1995, Don was working as the Superintendent of a power station near Topeka, Kansas. He lived in a trailer court about 7 miles north of St. Marys, Kansas.5

Donald died on 29 August 2015 in Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas, at age 77. Funeral services were held in the Grace Point Church in Topeka..2 He was buried in the West Lawn Memorial Gardens at Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas.2
