They returned to New Brunswick and settled near her father at Bocabec. The location is known as Varden's Point. They died and were buried there. Her husband was an officer in the British navy during the Revolution. At one time he went on shore to visit her, leaving his vessel in the care of a subordinate, and was cashiered and lost his commission for neglect of duty. They had eleven children.1

Norman married Susanna Walton ??? 1791.3 After his marriage, Norman lived in Bocabec, Canada. He left Canada in 1803 and lived for 2 years in Pennsylvania, probably in Philadelphia. Returning to Bocabec in 1805, he removed to Little York, now Toronto, in Upper Canada, and was there engaged in milling. He had charge of the first lumber mills operated in the township of Markham, then known as the "German Mills". He afterwards purchased a share in a mill at Markham village (then called Reeseville) but soon exchnaged this property for land designated "Lot number 1 in Concessional number 5", in the county of York and township of Markham, containing 200 acres. Here he engaged in farming, and founded his permanent home. Norman and Susanna had 12 children.1

Norman died on 2 February 1843 in Markham Township, York Regional Municipality, Ontario, Canada, at age 71.1,2 He was buried in the Hagerman East Cemetery at Markham, York Regional Municipality, Ontario, Canada.2
