     Richard Ball was born circa 1639 at Barkham Manor, Berkshire, England.1

In 1657, Richard's father, William, was granted a certificate according to Act for transportation of himself four times and also for the transport of Richard and Hugh Danys.2

On 16 July, 1659 a warrant for 500 acres was granted to Richard and his father William, together with a group of men from Lancaster County ,by the Land Office in Annapolis, Maryland.2

Richard married Mary Humphreys before March 1662 Mary was probably the widow of Thomas Humphreys. She had a daughter from her previous marriage. Richard and Mary had a daughter, Hannah, who was underage when he died intestate and later married Thomas Everest of Lancaster County, Virginia.3

Richard died intestate on 11 July 1677 in Petapsco, Baltimore County, Maryland.4

Edward Ball1

     Edward Ball was born in 1642 at England. Although Edward Ball is listed as a son of Colonel William Ball (1615-1680) and Hannah Atherold, he does not appear in the Ball genealogy on Wikitree and is not listed in Colonel Ball's will which was made at a time when he should have been alive. As a result, he has not been linked to these parents herein.l.1 He died in 1724 at England.1

     Hannah Ball was born on 12 March 1650 at Barkham Manor, Berkshire, England.1,2

On 08 Nov 1665 the Lancaster County Court granted a certificate for Hannah, her mother, her father and her brotherfor transportation to the royal colony of Virginia.3

Hannah married David Fox on 22 July 1670 David and Hannah had three children: Mary Ball (Fox) Meeker; Hannah (Fox) Spilman; andSamuel Fox..4,5,6

Hannah was named as an heir in the will of her father, Colonel William Ball, on 5 October 1680 in Lancaster County, Virginia. She was identified as the "Wife of Capt David ffox" and awarded only 5 shillings "Which is an Overplus both of her portion and Deserts".7

Hannah (then the wife of Capt. David Fox) was named as an heir in both wills of her mother, Hannah Ball, on 5 Dec 1694 and 25 Jun 1695. She was named an executor in the second will.8 Hannah Ball died in 1709 at Lancaster County, Virginia.9 She was buried in the Saint Mary's Whitechapel Episcopal Churchyard at Lancaster, Lancaster County, Virginia.9

David Fox1

     David Fox was born on 12 March 1647 in Lancaster County, Virginia.2,3

A David Fox was appointed to take up subscriptions for the support of the minister of Old White Chapel Church, Lancaster, VA in 1661. In 1661 he was listed in the General Vestry of Lancaster County and in 1669 he gave the church a chalice in the form of a solid gold goblet inscribed "The gift of David Fox, 1669".4,3

David married Hannah Ball on 22 July 1670 David and Hannah had three children: Mary Ball (Fox) Meeker; Hannah (Fox) Spilman; andSamuel Fox..1,2,3

David died before 14 October 1702 in Westmoreland County, Virginia.5 He was buried in the Saint Mary's Whitechapel Episcopal Churchyard at Lancaster, Lancaster County, Virginia.3
