Susannah George

Susannah George was born in 1632.1 Susannah was the daughter of John George of Watertown. At the time of her marriage in 1648, both her parents were dead and she was the ward of the widow of Henry Goldstone.2
Susannah married Robert Harrington on 1 October 1649 in Watertown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.3 Robert and Susanna had at least 13 children, including:
- Susanna, born 18 August 1649. Married 9 February 1671 John Cutting;
- John, born 24 August 1651, died 24 August 1741;
- Robert, born 31 August 1653, died young;
- George, born 24 November 1655. Was in Captain Samuel Wadsworth's company and was killed by Indians at Lancaster in February 1675;
- Daniel, born 1 November 1657, died 19 April 1728;
- Joseph, born 28 December 1659;
- Benjamin, born 26 January 1661, died 1724;
- Mary, born 12 January 1663. Married John Bemis;
- Thomas, born 20 April 1665, died 29 March 1712;
- Samuel, born 18 December 1666;
- Edward, born March 1668;
- Sarah, born 10 March 1670. Married Joseph Winship, Jr. 24 November 1687 and died 28 November 1710; and
- David, born 1 June 1673, died 11 March 1675.4
Susannah died on 6 July 1694.5

Edward Harrington was born on 2 March 1668/69 at Watertown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.1,2
Edward married Mary Occington on 30 March 1692 in Watertown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.2 Edward inherited his father's homestead and other valuable grants in Watertown. He was a selectman of the town in 1716, 1730, and 1731. He sold to Joseph Patterson on 19 March 1701 "one mansion house with 12 acres of orchard and meadow and arable land" in Watertown (Middlesex Probate 20:305-307).1
Edward married Anna Bullard on 24 May 1727.3
Edward died on 21 January 1736 in Waltham, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts, at age 66.4
Edward's grandson Samuel Barnard (son of Susanna Harrington) took part in the Boston Tea Party and later was a major in the Revolution.5

Mary Occington was born on 7 September 1669.1 Mary was the daughter of William and Mary Ocington.1
Mary married Edward Harrington on 30 March 1692 in Watertown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.2 Edward and Mary had the following children:

- William, born 11 November 1694. Died 27 February 1751;
- Mindwell, born 19 June 1697. Died 14 October 1700;
- Joanna, born 16 August 1699. Married John Taintor 25 May 1720;
- Edward, born 27 June 1702. Died 6 December 1792;
- Samuel, born 3 August 1704. Married Sarah Warren 19 October 1725;
- Nathaniel, born 25 June 1706. Graduated from Harvard in 1728;
- Francis, born 11 June 1709. Married Prudence Stearns 16 November 1736. After her death, he married Deborah Brigham 14 November 1752. Died 18 July 1793 in Worcester; and
- Susanna, born 9 September 1711. Married Samuel Barnard. Her son Samuel was one of the Boston Tea Party and a major in the Revolution.3
