Note that the 1850, 1860, and 1870 Censuses all list John's wife's name as Lydia. Hannah is supposed to have died in 1848 so that Lydia is probably a second wife..³
John may be listed in the 1820 Census, Wells Twp. Guernsey County, Ohio. John Leaman (or Ledman) is on record as owning 100 acres of land in Westland Twp., Guernsey County in 1819.⁴

John signed a waiver of rights in his father's will dated 1 August 1827 together with his brothers William and Reuben and his sisters Elizabeth (Hartman), Jane (Wallar), and Rebecca (Watson).⁵

William is believed to have left Guernsey County and moved to Hancock County, IN sometime between 1830 and 1836.⁸

Included in the household were his wife Leanna, 50 VA; 2 daughters, Mary 24 OH and Phoebe 14 IN; 2 sons, Josiah 19 OH and John N. 10 IN; and an unidentified girl, Mary E. McCorthile(?), age 4.¹⁰

Reuben married Nancy Firbee on 7 November 1822 at Licking County, Ohio, Reuben and Nancy may have had a daughter, Nancy, born 4 Nov 1835, died 11 Sep 1851 and/or a daughter Hattie Leamon Haig, born 7 Feb 1835, died 18 Jan 1888. Both of them are buried in Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio where Reuben is buried..^3,4

Included in the household were his wife, Nancy (47, VA); 7 daughters, Jane (22), Rachael (18), Harriet (16), Nancy A (15), Lydia L (13), and Marian (10; and a son, James K (21), a clerk. All of the children were born in Ohio.⁷

Reuben died on 10 June 1856 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, at age 56.⁸ He was buried in the Green Lawn Cemetery at Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio.⁸

Elizabeth signed a waiver of rights in her father's will dated 1 August 1827 together with her brothers John, William and Reuben and her sisters Jane (Wallar), and Rebecca (Watson).³ She was still alive in 1827 when she signed a deposition in her father's will.³

Note that the last clear reference to Jane Leamon is the 1820 Census when she was in her father's household in Guernsey County, Ohio and several less definite references to her marriage to Elisha Wallar in Guernsey County about 1821. The following census references to Jane Waller in Clark County, Illinois are quite dubious.

Jane signed a waiver of rights in her father's will dated 1 August 1827 together with her brothers John, William and Reuben and her sisters Elizabeth (Hartman) and Rebecca (Watson).⁴

Jane was listed as the head of household in the 1850 Census in Darwin Township, Clark County, Illinois. She was 49, born in Virginia. Included in the household wereJosephus Waller (26, OH), James Waller (13, IN), Jane Waller (11, IN), and Rebecca Waller (9, IN).⁵

Jane was listed as the head of household in the 1860 Census in Anderson Township, Clark County, Illinois. She was 59, born in Virginia. Included in the household were Lydia J(ane?) Waller (21, IN) and Rebecca A Waller (18, IN).⁶

Jane died in 1865 in Clark County, Illinois.⁷

     Elisha Wallar was born in 1795 in Virginia.¹
