     Nellie Bennert was born on 17 November 1870 at Butler, Bates County, Missouri.2 Her parents were Jacob Bernnert and Caroline Weber who were married in Connecticut in June 1853. Jacob was born in Germany in 1819 and died in Butler, Missouri of dropsy in 1871(?). Caroline was also born in Germany in June 1834.3,4,5

Nellie married Alonzo Morton Stanley in 1890 Alonzo and Nellie had at least one child: Ruby Stanley (1894-1916).6,7
