On 27 March 1819, he deeded more land to Stephen. On 10 August 1840, he deeded more land in Foster to Susanna Eastin, widow of Stephen Eastin.² He died on 7 August 1842 at Foster, Providence County, Rhode Island, at the age of 93 years, 1 month, and 19 days (per gravestone).²

John married Freelove [--?--] Tinkham circa 1783?.³ John was listed on the 1790 Census in Glocester, Providence RI with 1 male above 16 and 2 females.⁴ On 20 November 1790 John Tinkham deeded land to George Peirce with Freelove Tinkham his wife giving up dower.⁵ John was listed on the 1800 Census at Greenfield, Saratoga Co., New York, with 1 male under 10, 1 male 26-45, 1 female 10-16, and 1 female 26-45..⁶ On on 10 October 1803 Samuel Tinckom of Greenfield (relatiomship not stated but surely John's brother) was given administration of the estate of John Tinckom, blacksmith of Greenfield, during the minority of his daughter Sally.⁵ He died before 10 October 1803 when an administrator was appointed for his estate.⁵
