     Elizabeth Phoebe Noyes was born in 1841 at Indiana, probably near Manchester in Dearborn County.^1,2

Elizabeth's mother, Mary Jumper, apparently died in childbirth sometime before 1844. In that year, her father, Charles Noyes, married Lorinda Wicks but drowned in the Whitewater River less than six month later. After the death of her father, Elizabeth apparently went to live with her mother's family where she was recorded in the 1850 Census. Her step-mother returned to live with her own parents.³

Elizabeth appeared in the census of 1850 in the household of her grandfather Joseph Jumper in Manchester, Indiana. She was 9, born in Indiana.⁴

In 1858, Judge A. J. Cotton included Elizabeth Phoebe among the young folks in his neighborhood in his book, Cotton's Keepsake. He referred to Elizabeth as "a young lady of excellent mind, which she has well improved; amiable and obliging in her disposition, graceful and pleasing in her manners, she has secured the love and good will of all who knew her. I extend to her this special notice, because she is a 'lone orphan' and richly deserves the mead of honest praise".⁵

Elizabeth married George Washington Kinney on 1 November 1864 in Johnson County, Iowa. In addition to the listed children, George and Elisabeth probably had a daughter, Maud, who died on 4 July 1879 (per FindAGrave).^6,7

Elizabeth appeared in the census of 1870 in the household of her husband George Washington Kinney in 3rd Ward, Des Moines, Iowa. She was 28, born in Indiana.⁸ She appeared in the same household in the census of 1880 in Beaver Township, Iowa at age 39.⁹

The place of Elizabeth's death is uncertain. In 1880, she was living with her family in Des Moines, Polk County, but she was buried in the Mitchellville Cemetery in Johnson County, Iowa together with her husband George and several other Kinney's.The date of her death is from the gravestone.^1,2,10 She was buried in the Mitchellville Cemetery at Mitchellville, Polk County, Iowa.¹⁰

     Indiana Maine Jumper was born in 1863 in Manchester, Dearborn County, Indiana. Her name is said to have been chosen since the family started out in Maine and moved to Indiana..^1,2

Indiana appeared on the census of 1870 in the household of her father Alden Haden Jumper in Osage Co., Kansas. She was born in Indiana but her age was indistinct.³

Indiana appeared on the census of 1880 in the household of her father Alden Haden Jumper in Osage Co., Kansas. She was 17, born in Indiana, and listed as a school teacher. Her future husband was listed in the same household as a farm laborer.⁴

Indiana married Edwin Fremont Porter between 1880 and 1897. Edwin and Indiana had at least two children: Marjorie Ruth Porter b: 5 November 1897 in Melvern; and Grace S. Porter..⁵

On 18 August 1898, Indiana (Mrs. Mamie J. Porter) witnessed a deposition associated with the Civil War pension of her father, Alden Haden Jumper. She was 35 years old.⁶

Indiana died on 17 September 1950 at Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma.⁷

     Edwin Fremont Porter was born on 20 July 1858 in Browns Valley, Montgomery County, Indiana. He was the son of William and Mary B. Porter.^2,3

Edwin appeared on the census of 1880 in the household of his future wife's father Alden Haden Jumper in Osage Co., Kansas. He was 21, born in Indiana, and listed as a farm laborer.⁴

Carrie appeared on the census of 1870 in the household of her father Alden Haden Jumper in Osage Co., Kansas. Her age was 2, born in Indiana. Her first name on the census is illegible but the age is consistent with her birth date.²

Carrie appeared on the census of 1880 in the household of her father Alden Haden Jumper in Osage Co., Kansas. She was 11, born in Indiana, and listed as in school.³

Carrie married Sam Roakey ??? 1888.⁴

On 18 August 1898, (Mrs. Carrie Rokey) witnessed a deposition associated with the Civil War pension of her father, Alden Haden Jumper. She stated she was Amanda's daughter and was 30 years old.⁵

Carrie died after 1917.⁶

     Hugh Noyes was born in 1838 at Indiana.¹

Hugh was listed as Amos Noyes's ward circa 1842 at Dearborn County, Indiana.²

Hugh appeared in the census of 1850 in the household of his step-father Abner Tibbets in Center Township, Indiana. He was listed as Hugh Noice, age 12, born in Indiana.³

Hugh married Sarah Ellen Chandler in 1859. Hugh and Sarah had at least 4 children, namely:
     - Mary P., born 1860;
     - Martha P., born 1865
     - Walter H., born 1876; and
     - Frederick W., born 1880. ⁴.⁵

     Sarah Ellen Chandler was born in 1843 at Indiana.¹ Sarah married Hugh Noyes in 1859. Hugh and Sarah had at least 4 children, namely:

Orilla died on 11 May 1857 at McHenry County, Illinois, at age 23.⁵
